The Masterpost of Diversity p.1

While I love YA, diversity can be hard to come by. Really, really hard. Really, really... *sigh* So I decided to put together a GIANT LIST OF DIVERSE BOOKS. Yes. I did. I count it as diverse if a/the main character is, so besties don't count. Some books appear on multiple lists. They will be put in parts because by God, I know a lot of books and if I put them together it would take up way too much space.

Feel free to comment if I forgot something! Also, I haven't read most of these, so if I need to take them off or put a trigger warning on them, tell me.

  1. Thanks for including Accepting Me! And you're right, the main character is both ace and aromantic.
I also have several novels out with gay main characters, two short stories with a bisexual main character, and a novel with a female-to-male transgender main character.
This is a great list, and I'm honored to be part of it!

  2. You're welcome, and thanks for adding them!

I also want to thank you for including trigger warnings on the books you feel warrant them. (And for *not* including my novel Fresh Meat, because there are very triggery bits in that.) For some readers, it's very important to know about pieces of books that might cause problems for them, and I'm glad you're giving your readers a heads-up.
